If you do not own one yet

The cheapest hour you will spend on this airplane is the one before you buy it.

A prebuy inspection tells you the condition of one airplane on one day. It does not tell you what this model does to its owners at 1,800 hours. That is a different question, and it is answerable.

Free, no account

How many of the model are still flying, what years they were built, how old the fleet is. Straight from the FAA registry. A model with 4,000 airplanes flying has parts and mechanics who know it. A model with 60 does not.

What owners report

Once a model has enough logged squawks, you see the system breakdown and the hour marks where each problem tends to show up — and how many reports that is based on.

Membership, $19 a year

Everything above for every model, plus a checklist you can hand the shop. There is no separate buyer price and no upsell waiting for you — buy the airplane and you start posting to the same board you were reading. Walk away from it and you saved yourself a great deal more than nineteen dollars.

An honest note about today. PocketSquawk is new. Fleet counts and ages are solid — that is public FAA data. The owner-reported squawk patterns are still filling in, model by model, and every page says how many reports it is built on. We would rather show you an empty page than a confident one made of nothing.

Then keep the log going

The day the airplane is yours, the squawks start. Owners who log from day one are the ones with a clean, dated maintenance history when they sell — and that history is worth real money to the next buyer, who is doing exactly what you are doing right now.
